Freeware security software

Freeware - Software that is distributed without charge and which may be redistributed without charge by its users. However, ownership is retained by the developer who may change future releases from freeware to a paid product (feeware). (Source: http://www.answers.com/freeware?cat=biz-fin)

When it come to Security Software, It always been a headache for me.
I wanted the best but the best would cost me some real cash! I am a student and I just can't afford to buy a security software which cost me about a hundred.

I did some research on the internet regarding security software that is freeware, I have founded three best and well known freeware security software available for download and cost not a cent. Namely, Avira AntiVir® PersonalEdition Classic (http://www.free-av.com/), AVG Internet Security Home Edition 7.5 (http://www.grisoft.com/doc/welcome/us/crp/0) and avast! 4 Home Edition (http://www.avast.com/index.html). I would not recommeded any one of them but they are my top choice. Well, I leave you with these three products. You make ur own research to determine which is the best for you. :)
